Training to the Mission
No matter the topic of the training it is beneficial to ‘go back to the beginning’ to establish the purpose and foundation for the training in the first place. By ‘training to the mission’ the attendees instantly have a solid place to apply their new knowledge. If everything is focused on its relationship to the organizational mission there is less room for confusion in “how does that apply here?” Less “I am not sure what we are doing here” and m
ore “THIS is what we do!”
After participants leave the training they apply their new knowledge in situations by asking themselves “how does it fit our mission?” Ultimately everything goes back to that. Renewed passion, participation, and performance comes from a renewed sense of purpose.
